THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE BUILDING OF THE SAR |
The placing of the keel on the 28th of September commenced the building of the 3000/I SAR vessel for the Search and Rescue Service in Gdynia.The main designer of the ship is Wojciech Balcerowicz, the project manager is Jerzy Dziedzic and the foreman is Sławomir Marcinkowski. The project was carried out by Naval Engineering & Design Sp. Zo.o in Gdańsk. The hull and the superstructure of this modern vessel will be made from aluminum. On the stern slipway there will be a rescue motorboat,which will be used for aiding rescue missions. The efficient scouring of the sea’s surface in any and all possible weather conditions will be made possible thanks to noctovision and thermovision cameras. The ship will be equipped in a highly productive pump and a water gun for the firefighting system. The ship will be meant to sail the seas of the Southern Baltic region. The ceremony of the placing of the keel was carried out in the presence of both the Director of the Sea Search and Rescue Service, Marek Długosz and the Chairman of the Board of the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia, Andrzej Koznowski. |
